Welcome to my new homepage!
Lawrence Manning, Southampton, UK
Hello!
My name is Lawrence Manning and I live in Southampton, UK. I'm just your
average computer freak, who also has more of a strong love for all good Sci-fi,
particularly Star Trek. Currently I am looking for a new job. But before that,
I was employed as a Windows programmer at a small and very nice firm called Mocom Systems. Hopefully I will never
have to commit sin and program Microsoft Windows again. You can find more on
why I dont like Windows, and info on an alternative operating system you might
consider, here. If you like, you can find more
about me here.
I try to update this page every so often, though if you find some broken links
to external sites please don't be too disapointed. If you drop me a
note I'll be sure to fix it,
of course.
I have writtten a small document describing how
this webpage was made, and updated, should you be interested.
Now onto the "content" of my page.....

Here there is various Sci fi related stuff, mostly
relating to Star Trek at the moment. There's
also alittle article on the DS9 episode "Duet",
which is one of my all time favorite episodes of any Trek. If anyone would like
to argue that Duet is a the biggest peice of crap in the history of Trek,
feel free to drop me an email
Babylon 5 used to be a really great show, but
in its later seasons it went down hill. Anyway, I've collected a few nice
pictures and links for you B5 fans out there.

The computer page isn't finished yet, but soon it will contain
information on the fabulous Linux
operating system. This UNIX-like operating system is also different in
respect to nearly all others in that it is entirely Free, and Open. It can also be downloaded from
numberous sites or purchased on CD.
Before owning a Pentium "PC" I was the proud owner of an Amiga 1200, still one
of the nicest computers around, especially for programming with. So I have
decided to keep my old Amiga section alive and kicking in this page. If you
have one of these fine computers, go here. You
will find some info on some of programs that I've written and also where you can
find Linux for your amiga.

This section contains information on the RuneQuest roleplaying game. All the
information in it is original, and most of it is writen by my brother Adam
Manning. This page is a must-visit for any RuneQuest fans on the 'Net.
